Supporting creative exchange through street art in France - Royal Talens
In May 2026, the Royal Talens Foundation supported a community-based street art project by Artivista in La Celle-Saint-Cloud, France. The collaboration builds on a long-standing relationship, as the Foundation has supported previous Artivista initiatives in earlier years.

Art as a tool for participation

The project focused on engaging young people facing educational challenges or participating in reintegration programmes. Through a series of workshops, participants were introduced to mural painting and spray-paint techniques, guided by professional artists.

For many participants, this was their first opportunity to work with spray paint and contribute to a collaborative artwork. The workshops created a safe and structured environment where creativity and teamwork were encouraged.

Social themes within artistic practice

Beyond the technical skills, the workshops incorporated broader themes such as respect, citizenship, cultural diversity and environmental awareness. These themes are an integral part of Artivista’s methodology.

By combining artistic practice with social reflection, participants are encouraged not only to create, but also to engage with their surroundings and with each other.

Co-creation with local communities

A key element of the project is co-creation. Artivista works closely with local partners, organisations and participants to develop each project over an extended period.

This collaborative approach ensures that the final artworks reflect the identity and stories of the local community. It also strengthens the connection between participants and their living environment.

Lasting impact through public art

The murals created during the project are designed to remain in public space. They contribute to the visual quality of areas that are often overlooked and give them a renewed sense of visibility.

By involving residents in the creation process, the project fosters a sense of ownership and pride. The artworks become a lasting reminder of collective effort and shared experience.

Contribution of Royal Talens Foundation

The Royal Talens Foundation supported the project through the donation of painting materials, including spray paint and brushes. These materials enabled both the workshops and the creation of the mural.

The organisation expressed its appreciation for the support, noting that the materials played an important role in allowing participants to fully engage in the project.

Continuing the collaboration

Part of the donated materials will also be used in future workshops, extending the impact beyond the duration of this project.

The collaboration demonstrates how access to art materials can contribute to social initiatives that connect people, develop skills and stimulate creative expression.
