In June, the Royal Talens Foundation welcomed a delegation from the Municipality of Apeldoorn for a guided visit. The group joined as part of a team outing and represented the full breadth of the department Vitaal en Ondernemend Apeldoorn (VOA), including colleagues working in area management, economic affairs, sports, culture and heritage.

Insight into the Foundation’s work

The visit provided an opportunity to introduce the foundation’s activities, with particular attention to the role of art materials in education, wellbeing and community engagement. During the guided tour, participants gained insight into how the Royal Talens Foundation contributes to making creative expression accessible to a wide range of people, both locally and internationally.

A shared and multidisciplinary exchange

What made this visit particularly meaningful was its character as a shared experience. Rather than focusing on a single discipline, the exchange reflected the multidisciplinary nature of VOA. Conversations moved naturally between themes such as neighbourhood development, participation, wellbeing and the role of creativity in public life.
