4 Garden DIY projects

4 Garden DIY projects

Summer is almost here! This means the gardens are in full bloom and deserve our attention. From planting and potting to weeding and watering, it takes a lot of work, but is incredibly rewarding at the same time. Herbs and vegetables harvested from your own balcony or garden always taste better than their store-bought counterparts! On this page, you can find 4 easy DIY projects to make gardening a little more personal and fun!

Plant labels

If you have a vegetable garden, you need plant labels. There are many different labels you could make or buy, but have you ever considered making them from air-dry clay? All you need to do, is roll out the clay until you have a nice flat surface, about half a centimeter thick. Then you cut out the shape. Now you can stamp the names of the plants into the label and let the clay dry. Once it is dry, you paint the labels using Indoor & Outdoor paint. Finally, put the labels in the ground next to your plants. Enjoy!

Herb garden

This herb garden is made from an old wooden pallet. Start by measuring how big you want your crate to be and cut the planks from the pallet. Once you assemble and sand the crate, you can paint it with Indoor & Outdoor paint. Let this dry for 30 minutes. Use blackboard paint to paint some labels. This way, you can write on the labels with chalk and change it again if you plant new herbs. Finally, cover the inside with root cloth and fill it with your favourite herbs!

Potting table

A potting table is a must have in any garden. It is a little table on which you can prepare your plants for the garden. The top is crafted from a wooden pallet and the table legs are thrifted. Once you assemble the table, sand it and paint it with Indoor & Outdoor paint. Let the paint dry for 24 hours and then the table is ready to be used outside!
