Sakura 100 years
In 2021 Sakura celebrates its 100th anniversary. Amidst the Taishō era, in which Japanese modern culture developed, Sakura was founded. Ground-breaking innovations like Cray-Pas pigmented oil pastels, reliable archival Pigma ink pens and gel ink based Gelly Rolls have become all-time classics in the past century.
Let’s celebrate this milestone together in 2021!
We celebrate the 100th anniversary of Sakura with a tribute to Japan. A fascinating culture that can be an endless source of inspiration for many artists. We challenge everyone to create art in a dazzling competition in which you share your view of Japan with us.
Every month, we select 3 winners of a Sakura prize package worth €150. One of the monthly winners will be declared the grand prize winner in the first week of 2022. The Grand Prize? A trip to Tokyo!
Special Edition Black & Gold Sets
In January 2021 a special collection of Black & Gold Pigma Sets will be launched. The black and gold elements from these pens pay an homage to the Art Deco movement that took off simultaneously with the establishment of Sakura in 1921. Many original Sakura packaging from the early years were designed with iconic elements from that defining art movement.
With a set of 3, 6 and 12 (10+2 For Free) you can choose the pack that comes in handy. The biggest set of 12 contains all pens, while the set of 3 and 6 offers the most popular pen selections.
This truly unique collector's edition pens contain the same reliable and iconic black ink that Pigma is known for.
