You may have already heard the news, but Royal Talens is proud to announce that a brand-new headquarters and factory are currently under construction.

Our brand-new headquarters and factory

In just a few months, we’ll be making a big move! Starting this summer, we’ll be settling into a beautiful new building in Apeldoorn-Noord, preparing Royal Talens for a vibrant future.

This move will bring our factory closer to our distribution center, which has been located in Apeldoorn-Noord for many years and will remain at its current site.

Ready for the future

The new Royal Talens factory and office have been designed with a strong focus on sustainability and efficiency.

Fully electric

The building is fully electric and powered by 1,500 solar panels, supplying energy to both the factory and the charging stations for electric cars and bikes.

Heating and cooling system

Two wells, each 200 meters deep, provide heating in winter and cooling in summer by drawing energy from the ground.

Water management

Rainwater infiltration into the soil contributes to efficient water use.

Green surroundings

The site is landscaped with native trees and plants, requiring no irrigation or fertilizers for maintenance.

BREEAM Excellent Certification

Thanks to these sustainable choices, the building will receive a BREEAM Excellent certification, making Royal Talens the most sustainable paint factory in Europe.

Efficiency, growth, and capacity

In addition to sustainability, the new location offers many other advantages:

Increased capacity 

The new factory is nearly twice the size of the current one, allowing for larger batch production and reducing waste, transport, and packaging needs.

Advanced facilities

The site includes new machinery, a dedicated acrylic paint facility, and a water purification system.

Efficient routing

The production flow has been optimized, allowing materials and packaging to move more logically through the factory.

Accessible location

Located on the edge of the city, the new site eliminates the need for heavy transport through the city center.

Room to grow

The surrounding area offers ample space for future expansion.

First tours through our new factory and office

On Thursday, March 27 2025, our colleagues had the opportunity to tour the new building for the very first time. In small groups, they explored the impressive factory halls and searched for their future workspaces in the office.

Even though the building is still under construction, the tour already gave a clear impression of what the future will look like, and the excitement is growing!

Practical information

Here’s an overview of the moving schedule and where you’ll be able to find Royal Talens afterwards:

Factory relocation – The factory will move during weeks 31 to 34. Thanks to thorough preparation, we will have sufficient stock available, so deliveries to customers will continue as usual during this period.

Office relocation – The office will move in week 34. During this time, our availability may be slightly reduced, but we’ll do our best to ensure a smooth transition.
