'Operation SCHOOL-BOX'
Between 13 and 15 July, the eastern half of our country had to deal with particularly high amounts of precipitation, which led to severe flooding in various regions. A lot of people had huge problems with their house being flooded and their cars floating away. Everything was carried away by the swirling water. The schools had to evacuate as their buildings were filling up by the rising water. The furniture, but also the supplies they used to teach where completely ruined.
On July 25th we got a message from a former colleague. She told us she was setting up a collection for the affected schoolchildren in order to offer them a ‘normal’ return to school. They were trying to collect the necessary products for the children’s pencil cases and their lunch boxes. She called the operation ‘operation SCHOOL-BOX’.
We were asked to participate with a donation. We sent them products to put in the ‘school-boxes’. Theze boxes were distributed to the schools at the end of August.
1264 boxes were distributed in total! A huge success and the children were amazed with these presents for going back to school!

UPDATE: Bags of colour for Ukrainian refugees
Back in April we prepared 10.000 bags full of colourful art supplies for Ukrainian parents and children who were forced to seek refuge. We recently got some photos from children who received the bags.
