Upcycle your clothes with Line Art

A cotton canvas is always a good option, but why not try something new? In this tutorial, we’re showing you how you can create a canvas out of clothing by upcycling a plain jacket (or any kind of textile fabric) into a work of art!

  • Line art can be as easy as you want it to be, so this tutorial is perfect for beginners as well as more experienced artists

Step 1

Outline the parts you want to paint with painter’s tape.

Shake the paint before use and add the chosen color on a tear-off palette.

Paint the parts of the textile with the colors you want. Let it dry for 30 minutes.

Draw line art on the textile using a graphite pencil.

Step 5

Trace the lines with black paint to let it pop and let it dry for 30 minutes.

Lay a sheet of baking paper on top of the painted part and iron for 5 minutes to fixate. Enjoy!
