DIY spring decoration
Spring is finally here! Spring is the time for sunshine, flowers and you guessed it: eggs! Feeling crafty for Easter or just spring in general? Try making your own decorations this year! Invite spring into your home with handmade home décor!
In this step-by-step plan, we show you how to create your own spring decoration using eggshells, different types of paint and some glue to put them together. Have fun creating your own version of this spring centre piece!
Carefully empty your eggs from the top (you can use the eggs to make delicious omelettes or pancakes!) and rinse them thoroughly with water. Use the tweezers to carefully break open the top of the eggshell more. Make sure the hole in the top is big enough to fit the flower bulbs.
Use the painter’s tape to divide the egg into parts in any way you like.
Paint the uncovered parts with Indoor & Outdoor paint in colours of your choice using a sponge stick for even application. To add some interesting texture, you can apply Beton Paste using a painting knife. Let dry for 30 minutes.
Take a piece of rope and paint it with Metallic paint in a colour of your choice. We will use this piece of rope as a stamp.
Twist the rope with wet paint around the egg and take it off immediately to leave an imprint. Let dry for 30 minutes.
Use a hot glue gun to glue the eggs together in a circle.
Now you can fill them up with flower bulbs, plants, or dry/fresh flowers. Have fun creating your own spring decoration!
