Our new Royal Talens location

After months of preparation, we are thrilled to announce that Royal Talens is now fully operational at our new location:

Starting 25 August 2025, our factory and offices are fully functional, and we can’t wait to welcome you to our new premises.

 

Ready for the future

Our new factory and office have been designed with sustainability and efficiency in mind.

The fully electric building is powered by 1,500 solar panels that supply energy for both production and electric vehicle charging. Two wells, each 200 meters deep, provide natural heating in winter and cooling in summer. Rainwater is efficiently infiltrated into the soil, while native trees and plants maintain the green surroundings without irrigation or fertilizers.

Thanks to these sustainable initiatives, the building will receive BREEAM Excellent certification, and with its innovative design and technologies, Royal Talens aims to be one of the most environmentally conscious paint factories in Europe.

Efficiency, growth, and capacity

Beyond sustainability, the new site offers many operational benefits.

The factory is nearly twice the size of our previous location, allowing for larger batch production and reducing waste, transport, and packaging needs. Advanced facilities, including new machinery, a dedicated acrylic paint area, and a water purification system, optimize production quality.

Streamlined production flow ensures materials and packaging move logically through the factory. Located at the edge of the city, the new site eliminates heavy transport through the center and offers ample space for future expansion.

Royal Talens Foundation

At the Royal Talens Foundation, we believe creativity is essential for personal growth. That’s why we support schools and organizations around the world with creative projects, making art accessible to everyone.

Companies can also arrange group visits to our location, with all proceeds going to projects that support underprivileged communities. It’s a great way to enjoy an inspiring experience while making a real impact.

Our Royal Talens building takes a unique place

Our historic Royal Talens building, together with the emballage building, will play a special role in the new zoning plan for the Veldhuis area.

While high-rise buildings and a residential tower are planned behind our office, the Talens warehouse will remain a visually recognizable landmark marking the edge of the new development, while new homes and workplaces are added alongside it.

Whether the emballage building will be included in the new residential area is still uncertain, but Talens’ character will remain visible. See all details in the Masterplan, the Concept Vision, and the Visual Quality Plan.

How to reach our beautiful new location

Our new location at Laan van der Stier 50 in Apeldoorn is easily accessible by both car and public transport.

If you're arriving by car via the A1 motorway, take exit 21 (Apeldoorn-Zuid) and follow Kanaal Zuid towards Apeldoorn-Noord. From there, continue via Laan van Malkenschoten and Laan van de Ram to reach Laan van der Stier.

For those traveling by public transport, buses depart every 10 to 15 minutes from Apeldoorn Station towards Apeldoorn-Noord. Depending on the line (201, 210, 601, 8 or 2), you can get off at either ‘Laan van de Leeuw’ or ‘Zuidbroek’ bus stop, followed by a walk of approximately 18 minutes to our location.

Prefer cycling? You can rent an OV-bike at Apeldoorn Station and reach us in about 20 minutes, or from Apeldoorn-Osseveld Station in just 15 minutes.

Our site features a modern three-level parking garage, including 26 charging spots for electric vehicles. The entrance is secured with a barrier gate, which opens when you scan your employee badge. From there, follow the designated pedestrian paths to the building. There are separate entrances for employees and visitors, ensuring everyone feels welcome.
